Glenn
Harbaugh joined Cohen-Esrey in 1997 as an accountant in
the firm’s Financial Services Group. In this role, he
performs all accounting functions, job cost tracking,
billings and financial reporting for Construction Technologies,
an affiliate of Cohen-Esrey Real Estate Services Inc.
He also assists in the pay application process and financial
reporting of tax credit multifamily projects developed
by Cohen-Esrey Housing Partners, L.L.C.
Harbaugh’s
direct knowledge of construction began over 30 years ago
working summers for his family’s residential construction
company. Following college, Harbaugh spent six years in
retail finance before rejoining the family business in
1982. From 1982 until 1990, he was primarily responsible
for accounting, debt management, home design and sales.
During this time, Harbaugh Construction, Inc. built more
than 100 homes, finished over 200,000 square feet of office
space and built two commercial buildings. Harbaugh spent
the following five years self employed as a home builder
in Independence, Lee’s Summit and Blue Springs, Missouri,
completing more than 50 homes.
In
1995, Harbaugh returned to the financial management arena
assuming responsibility as controller for a government
and non-profit specialty construction management firm.
There he monitored contract conformity along with job
cost tracking and financial management unique to government
and non-profit projects.
Harbaugh
received a bachelor of science in business administration
from the University of Missouri at Columbia, majoring
in finance and banking and is a member of CFMA, the Construction
Financial Management Association. His diversified construction
experience and strong financial skills combine to make
him an asset to Cohen-Esrey and Construction Technologies,
as well as the clients and customers served.
